I suppose if someone wanted to play a healer and simply follow the other everywhere he goes that could work. I guess there are certain situations where it could be fun for a short while for some people. If that's the case then they have to play as whatever random class they can once they happen upon a dead player's hat. I'd imagine that when spawning at an outpost players would revert to the limbo state rather than whatever class they were playing when they died, or that would effect the balance of the game. The machines are spread around the castle more than a screens length, so it would take a lot of time and coordination simply for everyone to go pick their class before you can even get moving.īefore you pick your class you're in a kind of limbo state where you have reduced health and your only attack is a melee slap. It would ruin the pace of the game cause when someone dies you have to stop what you're doing and go spawn them, or just be a dick and keep playing.Ĭlasses are selected sort of like Battlefield, instead of kits you can pick up hats from dead players and spawn as the class they were playing in realtime, or if you're in your castle there are various vending machines that spit out hats for each class. When playing co-op if someone dies they'll respawn when any remaining player reaches a controlled outpost (little towers that can be captured by standing next to them for a certain period of time) unless the entire team dies then you all spawn back at the castle. Traditionally after the timer counts down you would spawn back at your castle. It also prevents one player from being able to run off and feed the princess cake while the others are out trying to capture or defend the princess. With same screen co-op that basically rules out the worker class because the whole team would have to travel together in order to gather resources. Resources are spread around the map as well as slices of cake which can be fed to the princess in order to make her heavier and also harder to capture.

The main game mode is a lot like CTF, with 2 castles on each end of the map that hold a princess which needs to be carried from one castle to the other in order to win. Then there's damage dealing classes, the melee warrior, the ranged archer, fire and ice mages.
#Fat princess ps3 split screen upgrade
They provide resources used to upgrade all other classes, and they can also repair defensive structures as well as build ladders to scale the opponents castle walls. You can be a worker and run around and chop down trees and gather ore. Click to expand.Well if you were thinking about buying the game for the co-op feature alone, IMO definitely walk away.
